Come relax and unwind with the healing vibrations of quartz crystal singing bowls.

 

Everything in the universe is composed of energy. As such, everything has a natural frequency vibration. Energy, light, atoms, molecules, and even our planet are vibrating at specific frequencies are thus producing “sound”. This includes every living cell in our bodies as well as the energy centers of our bodies, known as Chakra centers. Just like a musical instrument that emits sound, our chakras and our cells can either be in tune or out of tune.

 

Every cell and chakra center is naturally tuned to maintain well being and health. But physical, mental and environmental factors can interfere and cause these vibrations to go out of tune and into a state of imbalance. Crystal Singing Bowls are tuned to the body’s Chakra centers so, much like a tuning fork causes resonance to adjacent objects, when played, they help tune chakra centers to resonate in their proper, natural state. In doing so, they allow for the free flow of energy throughout the body, mind and spirit.

Journaling for Centering

Next Class To Be Announced

Did you know maintaining a journaling practice can help relieve stress, process life
events, lead to increased self-awareness? It is also a great way to record your
struggles, successes, ideas, personal growth, memorable experiences and more. In
this 90 min workshop, author and avid journal Adrienne S. Wallner will guide
participants through the practice of journaling. She will share from her 15+ years of
journaling experience and impart tools, tricks, prompts, and more. Adrienne will lead
you through journaling exercises, share examples, and give you the tools and
confidence to make journaling a part of your life. No previous journaling or writing
experience required. Class will be a safe space in which to be creative within your
journal and will not require any sharing of what you write. Participants will leave with a
stack of resources and prompts to use at home. Start the new year off with a new
healthy habit and center yourself through journaling!

Materials: Please bring your preferred journal and writing utensil(s). For instructor

Class will also include tea and light snacks.

About the Instructor: Adrienne S. Wallner (Jaeger) is a poet, photographer, and
instructor, and grant writer. She holds an M.F.A. in Poetry from the University of
Southern Maine-Stonecoast and B.A. in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing
from St. Norbert College. Her poetry can be found in the Aurorean, Stoneboat Literary
Journal, Minerva Rising, and Uncommon Core: Contemporary Poems for Learning. Her
debut poetry collection To the 4 a.m. Light was released in March 2021 by Finishing
Line Press. Adrienne has been journaling for 10+ years and finds it beneficial for her
creative process, relationships, and overall state of mind.

Unwind Your Mind: The Practice of Meditation in Daily Life

Winter is time of great change in the natural world, as the long hours of sunlight give way to “the season of the stars.”  Our minds also move with these rhythms, and this season is a perfect time to explore how the practice of meditation can provide support, stillness, and a sense of great kindness toward a world that is eternally in motion.  This class will teach the foundations of various meditation techniques through a combination of instruction, practice, dialogue, and contemplation exercises. Participants will gain familiarity with how the mind works, and be supported in establishing their own ongoing meditation practice as part of daily life.  This first course will plant the first seeds in growing a community of meditators for ongoing support and learning.

About the Instructor: Dr. Maggie Turnbull is a professional astronomer and lifelong seeker originally from Antigo, Wisconsin.  She has trained and received teachings from meditation masters and senior teachers around the world, most importantly in the Shambhala and Mindrolling practice communities.  In order to dive more deeply into her own practice, she will attend a month long meditation retreat in Nova Scotia in November.  Her hope is to share these systems of working with our minds, in order to encourage the innate kindness and wisdom of secular society.
